Dirty Inc are the Yakuji Love residents Jason Hales and Jon Merritt. Slinky caught up with Jon before the next Opera House date on the 22nd when the main room will be handed over to the sounds of Marcel Woods, whilst Dirty Inc and co entertain the back room electro fans.

1. Thanks for agreeing to being interviewed by Slinky. You’re DJ’ing for us at the Opera House which has recently been completely re-furbished and upgraded. If you were to re-furbish yourself what would you change about yourself and why?
Hmmmm, it would have to be the hair!! Although I don’t have a problem being bald, it would be nice to do something other than shave it grade nought for once!
2. We’re just about to see the start of the 2008 Olympics. Is there any sport you’d like to see sanctioned to become part of the 2012 events when it comes to Britain?
Jockey racing!! I’d laugh my ass off watching Jockeys get raced around the track and whipped to go faster… it’d give a taste of their own medicine. I guess they would have to be raced by very small midgets, but it would be funny to watch!

3. The World is currently in the middle of a credit crunch. If you were in charge of the World for one day what rules would you bring in to make clubbers lives easier?
Free taxi’s for everyone cos there so damn expensive!
4. Could you give us a typical rundown of your day to day life so the Slinky clubbers can get a better idea about you?
11.00am: wake up, make coffee, roll a fag, check e-mail’s. 12pm: (providing the creative juices are flowing) make filthy electro, 4-5pm do a bit of promo work, think of ideas to make lots of money. 6pm: buy lottery ticket as had no ideas how to make lots of money. 7pm – onwards: make some more music, roll some more fags, have a mix, eat some food and then bed around 3-5am.

5. And now the plug section. Feel free to tell us about any news or forthcoming releases that the clubbers and other DJs might be interested in.
Well, we have a few remixes coming out soon, ‘Game Boys On Acid’ by Hariku on the new ‘Arcade Riot’ label. Also, two remix’s on ‘Kill for This’ Records’: ‘Rock a Little Bit’ and ‘With Dust’ which also should be out fairly soon.
However, the main event for us at the moment is our new record label ‘Dirty Trax’ which has just been completed… check out www.dirtytrax.co.uk to have a look ? The label is primarily for releasing our own original productions, but we will be looking at releasing other artist tracks at some point in the near future.

6. Finally, what can the Slinky crowd expect from you on Friday the 22nd of August at the Opera House?
Bouncy, filthy, dirtyness and as its Luke Dubyah’s Birthday multiply all that by two? Peace.
